Amiram Shachar, Founder of Upwind, Discusses Funding as a Growth Vehicle in Cyber

In 2020, Amiram Shachar sold his startup Spot.io to NetApp for $450 million. But it didn’t take him long to embark on another entrepreneurial journey. He quickly founded another startup, Upwind, which raised over $80 million in less than a year from prominent investors like Greylock, Cyberstarts, and NBA’s Steph Curry.

At a prestigious New York conference hosted by the Economist, dedicated to European and Middle Eastern business, Amiram took part in a panel focusing on the continuous growth of the local tech scene amidst economic and geopolitical instability.

As part of the session, Amiram discussed the journey from seed to success and how it fuels innovation in the region. He also elaborated on the ever-changing landscape of cyber threats impacting the world’s largest organizations.
